With agility and poise, a Leopard chased down a Kudu in front of a number of tourists, narrowly missing the cars to catch his midday snack.
National Parks are some of the great public spaces that allow tourists (and locals) to witness wild animals roaming freely. It is an opportunity to witness the natural environment at its purest.
Sometimes it can be hard to witness. We once saw a video of a baby elephant overpowered by a pride of lions and eventually losing its life. It was hard to watch and even harder not to try and save the elephant calf, but it was nature doing what it does best. These videos that circulate the internet are often fascinating.
The Kruger National Park recently shared a video on their YouTube channel showing a Leopard in action. Only the leopard was weaving through a cluster of cars to catch its prey. It did so without pausing for a moment, this shows how incredibly agile and alert these beautiful animals are.
The poor Kudu, on the other hand, bumped into a few of the idle cars before sprinting off out of shot. It is unclear if it made it out alive or became supper. Watch the video below to see it all in action.
“A British tourist on Safari in South Africa filmed this amazing sighting in Pilanesberg National Park. Although not Kruger National Park, it is still an amazing video to share. Some great camera work as well! They knew a leopard was lurking somewhere nearby in the tall grass but could not spot him. As they were still busy filming the Kudu antelope, they Leopard suddenly striked and chased the Kudu into one of the tourist’s car’s. The Kudu recovered and apparently got away”
