Latest Sightings has had to rely on live-stream videos and a few rare gems found saved on hard-drives for their latest content while South African tourism has been on lockdown. Luckily, the Kruger National Park and many others are finally open for day visitors so hopefully, we get more wildlife sightings soon.

The most recent video on the Latest Sightings Channel has us smiling from ear to ear. The lion cubs of the Kambula Pride, which is about twenty strong, were left to relax while their mothers went off to nap. The lion cubs found a way to entertain themselves. They found a see-saw and learned just how fun it is!

Videos like this help us cope with being at home, we can’t help but smile and enjoy the innocence of a young wild animal finding enjoyment in nature.

“This adorable sighting was filmed by Daniel Bailey, a guide for MalaMala Game Reserve, when he was on a tour with his guests (pre-lockdown).

The lion cubs in this sighting, part of the Kambula Pride, were left to alone for the afternoon on a stump of fallen over trees, while the adults were fast asleep.

One cub decided to be adventurous and tried balancing while walking all over the fallen trees. When he reached the end, he didn’t notice that the tree itself was having a hard time balancing, just like a see-saw. The tree tipped over to the other side, with the lion on top!

Although the little cub got a bit of a fright, this is nothing lions can’t handle!

Slowly, one by one, all the cubs then went and had a go on the new ride.

Nice way to be entertained!” – Latest Sightings
