Little Paws Big Hearts is proud to have a strong team of men who share their passion and dedication to improving the life of every dog and cat in townships in Secunda.

Secunda, South Africa (02 October 2024) – The work of animal welfare is generally run and headed by women, who dedicate countless hours to serving, protecting and nurturing vulnerable animals, often at personal sacrifice.

While this stands true for many organisations – and is truly inspiring – the men are showing up in their numbers down at Little Paws Big Hearts in Secunda, Mpumalanga.

“We at Little Paws are very fortunate to have men who share our passion and love for animals. They are involved in all actions regarding our outreaches and day-to-day tasks. We are very proud to work alongside them.

“Our last outreach in Afghanistan was quite the surprise when our girls were totally outnumbered. What a privilege to stand between these awesome team members,” the organisation shared.

Little Paws Big Hearts works tirelessly to assist dogs and cats in the Secunda area and does outreach initiatives for feedings, treatments and sterilisations at four townships every month – something that says a lot about the team’s compassion and dedication to animals.

With their phones almost non-stop, the team also assists the ill and injured township dogs, ensuring they receive medical attention and do their level best to provide additional assistance despite not having a proper shelter.

Despite facing challenges like limited resources, the team at Little Paws Big Hearts tirelessly works to assist dogs and cats in their community.

Without the support and generosity of the public, the animal charity organisation cannot carry on its incredible work. To make a contribution or to get involved, contact info@littlepaws.org.za.
