Gosse Bouma, a filmmaker from Amsterdam, fell in love with Africa and made a handful of breathtaking videos! Here is the beautiful Namibian Desert.
Gosse Bouma spent some of his time studying in South Africa, he studied at the University of Stellenbosch for a while. It was during that time that his love of South Africa and Africa was born. He and his partner traveled around South Africa and Namibia and captured some beautiful footage.
The country of endless beauty. Kilometers of gravel road taking you through landscapes that will take your breath away. Namibia really has it all. The sheer visual beauty of the country is a filmmakers dream, and I tried capturing some of it with my camera.
Gosse shot with a DJI Osmo X3 and DJI Mavic Pro while on the trip.
Namibia is home to the worlds highest sand dunes, this is one of the places that Gosse visited as well as the ghost white Deadvlei. The dune is called Dune 7 because it is the seventh dune past the Tsauchab River. The Namibia Ministry of Environment and Tourism dubbed it as the highest sand dune in the world, you need to see Dune 7 to believe it. It is a 1,256-foot dune!
Deadvlei is a clay pan characterized by dark, dead camel thorn trees contrasted against the white pan floor.
The Deadvlei was nominated to be the 8th wonder of the world! This is because it’s skeletal trees are over 100 years old… Watch the magic below,
