As a new season brings the promise of fresh starts, New Beginnings animal shelter in Bloemfontein has a new look that’s more than just a fresh coat of paint, boasting colourful walls that hold memories of furry souls once broken, but now healed.
Bloemfontein, South Africa (01 September 2025) – As we usher into a new month and a season that holds the promise of growth and fresh starts, we share the touching story of New Beginnings, which recently received a fresh coat of paint, offering a colourful gift in honour of all they do for pets and people.
Talented artist Jordan Beth Art used her passion and creative skills to bring much-needed colour and vibrance through stunning murals of adorable furbabies in support of the charity, which does so much for animals and people in need in Bloemfontein.
“With every brush stroke, Jordan breathed new life into our walls and gifted us with something very special.
“Every mural tells a story. Each one represents a shelter animal who once lived here, was rehabilitated, and went on to find their forever home,” New Beginnings shared in a post.
New Beginnings is a passionate pet rescue and rehabilitation centre, run by an amazing team of staff and rehabbers who work tirelessly to care for abused, abandoned, and neglected animals, giving them hope, healing, and a second chance.
“Every rescued soul has a story of survival. Each animal is saved from a life of abuse or neglect and given the chance to heal. With love, patience, and care, they are rehabilitated, nurtured, spoiled, and transformed into happy, healthy, and sociable pets – ready for their forever homes,” the charity said.
For this organisation, its walls now hold precious memories of the many souls who were once broken but found healing and love at its shelter.
“It’s amazing what a splash of colour can do – not only to brighten our centre, but also to remind us daily of the hope, love and second chances that rescue work brings.
“A huge THANK YOU to Jordan for bringing colour into our lives and for honouring the memory of our beloved animals in such a beautiful way.”
