Pangolins face numerous threats in the wild, from predators to poachers. However, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Pangolin Protectors, these unique creatures have a fighting chance.
Cape Town, South Africa (06 November 2024) – For a little creature navigating the wild, with the threat of big predators like lions, the harsh elements of nature and even poachers, it can be a very dangerous place.
Pangolins are among the most vulnerable and highly trafficked mammals. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Pangolin Protectors, their natural habitat is a less scary place.
Pangolins provide pest control in forests by slurping up massive amounts of ants and termites. By digging their burrows, pangolins also help aerate the soil, ensuring it is nutrient-filled and fertile.
According to Pangolin.Africa, Pangolin Protectors spend countless hours walking alongside sick or injured pangolins at night with a stick, ensuring their safety as they forage for food.
These brave men and women do this every night until the animals are ready for release.
By rehabilitating injured and orphaned pangolins, Pangolin Protectors play a vital role in conserving these incredible animals.
“Without them, we couldn’t save Africa’s pangolins – and without your support, we can’t have them!
“Your donations make it possible for Pangolin Protectors to do this work, with funds going directly toward their salaries,” Pangolin.Africa shares.
Your support can make a significant difference in conserving these creatures and those who work long nights to keep them safe.
