Yesterday’s cold snap brought flurries of snow to the tops of the Drakensberg mountain range as well as up and over the beautiful Sani Pass.
Even though the snow flurries started yesterday, the cold snap is holding its grip on South Africa for a few more days. This morning at Van Reenen’s Pass is was -7 degrees. Brrr…
The Snow Report SA has been sharing some of the breathtaking images taken at Sani Pass as well as various other points within the Drakensberg mountain range.
A cold front brought chilly conditions to South Africa over the weekend, including parts of KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape and Western Cape. Both the Drakensberg and nearby Lesotho have been blanketed in snow and frost and the images sparkle with a frozen chill.
Snow Report SA is cautioning motorists when driving in these parts as the roads are icy and can be dangerous. Driving with caution and the utmost concentration is highly recommended.
Here are some images from yesterday and today.

Some parts of Lesotho had some snow this weekend. Did you get a chance to play in the snow or take any pictures? We would love to see them. #Lesotho #LoveLesotho pic.twitter.com/Pyxbq0gGhs
