South African Tourism has shared Good Things Guy News as an official platform to celebrate and help South Africa!
South Africa (28 April 2020) – South African Tourism is the tourism marketing arm of the South African government. Simply put, their job is to promote the country domestically and internationally, whether, for leisure, business or events tourism and they are promoting Good Things Guy News as well.
The incredible platform has started a new campaign to celebrate South African Lockdown Heroes and help each other during the global COVID-19 pandemic.
“South Africa, raise your heads towards the sky and together keep your feet moving forward. You’ve sacrificed a lot of freedoms, and once again, the responsibility of rebuilding a nation is in your hands. Show the world what it truly means to be South African. South Africans have embodied the true spirit of resilience in this time. To those people, we thank you for your service. Please share your #SALockDownHeroes stories with us to share with the world.”

And they have included Good Things Guy News as an official platform to celebrate and help South Africa!
“It is no secret that the lockdown has meant millions of people go hungry. It is a fact that has inspired hundreds of South Africans to take action. The “Good Things Guy” Brent Lindeque has been tracking stories of service and has shared which you can find on the website. Please consider donating to one of these worthy causes.”
Brent Lindeque – the founder of Good Things Guy – was completely overwhelmed and thankful for the feature on South African Tourism.
“It is such an honour just to be mentioned by South African Tourism, let alone be featured in their new campaign. There are so many incredible South Africans, doing the most amazing work. We need to celebrate these heroes for all the good they are doing!
At times it can feel like we’re going through this alone, but we are not. We are all in this together – separated in our houses – but all together, and that’s how we get through this… together!
The next couple of weeks are going to be really, really tough. I think we’re all going to have to be more thoughtful of each other, practice more kindness and love each other a little louder.”
