If you need a last-minute gift idea for the Earth warrior in your life, gifting them a tree dedicated to bettering the next generation is the one!

South Africa (21 December 2021) – If you have an Earth warrior loved one and want to give them a gift they will adore, buy them a tree in a forest!

For every R120 donation, Greenpop is able to plant, maintain and monitor a tree in one of its forest restoration projects across Sub-Saharan Africa.

In addition to putting trees in the ground, the organisation reduces threats to restored areas by providing locally relevant support services, including alien clearing, wood lot development, and alternative livelihoods training to ensure the sustainable management of our forests.

Greenpop has worked on many different projects including, replanting trees after the Knysna fires, creating green spaces in townships, and actively working to stop deforestation through their reforestation project. The project has seen cool events such as a reforestation festival that takes place each year and sees hundreds of people joining in to plant trees.

This year Greenpop is encouraging people to buy a lasting, Earth-changing gift that will be around for generations to come. All you need to do is donate a tree in your loved one’s honour, and Greenpop will plant it on your behalf. You will receive a certificate that includes the GPS coordinates.

This is how to sponsor a tree.

Step 1: Choose your tree certificate template.
Step 2: Select how many trees you would like to fund (R120 tree).
Step 3: Select the forest/site where you would like the trees planted.
Step 4: Personalise your certificate with a special message.
Step 5: Send the certificate to yourself or your loved one.
