Two young animal champions named Adam and Oli recently blew DARG away after the youngsters raised a small fortune for the pro-life shelter and shared their dreams to be involved in animal welfare.
Hout Bay, South Africa (04 December 2024) — South Africa seems to have a knack for raising young animal champions, and the duo Adam and Oli are the latest youngsters to prove it.
Following another recent feel-good story where siblings Charlie and Zac stepped up to save a chameleon named Pepper and donated their pocket money to support other animals at FreeMe Wildlife, Adam and Oli made a difference in another part of our country.
The young animal champions raised R910.50 for DARG, a pro-life animal shelter based in Hout Bay. Their generosity and enthusiasm impressed the DARG team immensely. As one team member told Good Things Guy, “They are such inspirations.”
But this isn’t something the kids hope will be a once-off effort. In fact, they have a plan of action to integrate animal welfare into their futures.
According to DARG, Adam has a dream of one day running his own animal rescue centre and has even begun designing it! While Oli’s dreams lie on the soccer field, he has plans to support Adam in saving animals upon his retirement.
Adam and Oli left friends and supporters of DARG feeling wonderfully encouraged and reminded people that with efforts like these, there’s a great sense of hope for a future generation of animal lovers.
Meanwhile, in other news where animal shelters got a boost, Animal Welfare Helderberg recently received much-needed colourful pet pools to help their pooches enjoy a cool pet summer just in time for the sweltering December heat!
