The learners from Eastside Primary shared a message of hope and inspiration for the Springboks that had us smiling from ear to ear.

Pretoria, South Africa (13 October 2023) – This weekend is a big one in rugby. The Springboks are about to face up against France, the Rugby World Cup hosts, in the quarter-final and if they succeed, it will be another massive step towards becoming a consecutive two-time World Cup winner. But before we start jumping ahead of ourselves, we love the ‘gees’ that is brewing in South Africa and the inspiring messages coming from the people.

Eastside Primary made an inspiring video for the Springboks, sharing words of encouragement. Watching the video left a smile on our faces. The young Bok supporters have given it their all and are so excited to see their favourite players take to the field.

“Eastside Primary is a small school with an enormous heart in Pretoria East! Our head of sports, Coach Sam Mbalo was really excited to share how enthusiastic we are about sports and The Bokke in particular! Our Grd 00-7’s recorded their war cries and prayers with the hope that our boys in Green and Gold would hear how much we love supporting them! We are backing them all the way and will continue to support them no matter what the outcome! Thank you Bokke for showing us the true spirit of grit and ubuntu! We are proud to call you OUR team!” – Paula Schefermann

The school used its first Bok Friday to share their message. Watch the cute and inspiring video below.
