If you need an excuse for something decadent or are hoping to plan a themed dinner party, these foodie days are a must for your calendar.

Global (11 February 2026) – Everyone loves a good celebration. And in a world where things can feel a little heavy at times, finding joyful reasons to pause, cook, bake or order dessert first is a small but meaningful win.

Food has a way of bringing people together, and these foodie-focused days give us permission to celebrate the little things, one bite at a time.

While many of these food-dedicated days originated in the United States or other international destinations, plenty have found a happy home in South African kitchens too. And honestly, who doesn’t appreciate a little help with menu planning?

The Good Things Guy calendar is filled with days dedicated to causes, communities and moments worth marking, from South African public holidays to global awareness days. Nestled among them are these fun, flavour-packed foodie days, perfect for adding a little joy to your year.
