What if Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit had been written in Mzansi? We don’t even have to wonder, thanks to Sne Dladla.

South Africa (19 October 2025) – The award-winning actor, comedian, and musician has already made our headlines for taking global hits and giving them a proudly South African spin.

We’ve seen him flip songs by Britney Spears, Alicia Keys, and Beyonce.

Now he’s turned his attention to Nirvana’s grunge anthem (a karaoke go-to for many of us).

Sne’s talent goes way beyond his versions of international bangers and music.

He’s won two Fleur du Cap Awards, starred on stage and screen alongside SA’s best, and most recently played an excellent host at the 2025 Bookmark Awards.

Dladla got involved in stand up comedy almost twelve years ago, and even made an appearance on SA’s Got Talent in his second year of bringing his funny on stage. He made it through, but ultimately wasn’t able to travel to Johannesburg for the semi-finals.

“I still do wonder what would have happened if I got to go. But there’s nothing I can change about it. However, I can tell you that regardless of what I was allowed to do or not, I’m still here and I’ve climbed much higher than I ever could have expected,” he shares.
