Splash

RyGuySA has created the best thing we have ever seen relating to the water crisis. A trailer for the new ‘Water Crisis Movie’ featuring the creepy Splash!

We are crying! Not sure if they are tears of laughter or sheer terror… After sharing the story about the nightmare mascot Splash last week, we are in awe of the latest Splash feature.

RyGuySA created a trailer for a ‘Water Crisis Movie’ and it is a real horror feature. We think his creativity is absolutely brilliant but the trailer somehow scared the bejeebers out of us! Using a combo of various clips, including the horror IT, the video is truly the stuff of nightmares!

The concept of Splash was meant to be a friendly face but thanks to a bad design job, his face comes across as incredibly creepy. That inspired the idea of the mascot being introduced to scare people into saving. Now after the release of the trailer, we plan to save every drop… in fact, we may just give up showering all together!

“In February 2017, the city of Cape Town was declared in a water crisis and would become the first major city to run out of water. DAY ZERO would arrive sooner than expected if residents used too much water. Without warning, the government introduced a top secret political plan that would scare its citizens into shorter showers, less toilet flushes and faulty water management devices. One, Two…Splash is coming for you!”

Watch the creepy trailer below. Let us know, did it make you laugh or cry?
