“No secrets in this bag”, the comedian uses humour to showcase South Africans’ unique way of responding to current events.

South Africa (05 December 2025) – Themba Robin, known for his witty takes on everyday South African life, has struck again, this time weighing in on what the nation is calling the “accountability bag.” The buzz comes from Woolworths’ new clear shopping bags. Themba zeroes in on the public’s reaction and the bags. In his video, Themba highlights how these clear bags leave nothing to the imagination.

“Look at this bag. This bag holds no secrets. If you put 50 bucks in here, it probably calls the Hawks itself.”

Another clip shows him carrying an oversized version of the original bag, making it look almost comically huge, and drawing attention to the way South Africans respond to current events. All with a mixture of humour and in this case, disbelief.

It’s a moment that captures South Africans’ unique way of responding to current events.
