Get ready for all the giggles! Themba Robin has taken to the wild (AKA, South Africa’s roads) for a hilarious skit profiling South Africa’s sneakiest predator —the speed camera:

South Africa (25 August 2024) – Comedy legend Themba Robin has left South Africans in stitches once again following one of his latest skits profiling our country’s sneakiest predator—the speed camera.

Not obvious like a pothole or predicable like loadshedding, this relentless beast moves in mysterious and concealed ways. While the speed camera—or the ‘roaming velocitus photographicus’ according to Themba—certainly has its necessary place in the ecosystem of our roads, it is also the nemesis of those running late across the country.

Themba hilariously takes us through an encounter between the roaming velocitus photographicus and ‘the employeus unpunctualus’ amid the ‘7 am herd’ in the kind of wildlife docu-narrative fashion that’d make Sir David Attenborough proud.

A tale of hunter and prey and the odds against the system, Themba’s satire never fails to turn even the most rubble-worthy headache into comedic gold.
