Ainsley, 6, takes the internet by storm when she goes to dance class as a “Hot Dog Princess” while her friends dress in gowns

Look, there’s nothing especially wrong with princesses, but when a kids’ dance class holds a Princess Day you’ve gotta admit it’s not exactly an exercise in original thinking. Pictures of a young individualist dressed as a hot dog standing in the dance studio with seven other young girls dressed in tutus, wings, silks and sashes, soon went viral.

She is definitely the bright spark in the class & doesn’t care about wearing a poofy dress and being the belle of the ball like she’s always been told she should. All it takes is one hot dog in a dance class full of princesses to sow the seed of rebellion.

“Well, the last few weeks of dance class we let the girls dress up and this week was princess week so we were expecting all of the girls to come in their princess dresses,” said the ballet teacher. “When Ainsley got here everyone was so surprised but we loved it and thought it was great that she wanted to wear a hot dog costume. We all took pictures because we thought it was funny that she came to princess week as a hot dog.”

And that’s why the internet has unanimously saluted Hot Dog Princess, a girl who knows what she wants, and what she wants is to wear her favourite costume regardless of the theme of the day. It was all her idea!

Although technically, fans of the show Adventure Time know that Hot Dog Princess is a real thing so her costume was legit in more ways than one.
