Halli Trust is transforming lives by providing food support, teaching children essential life skills, and empowering women through education.

Cape Town, South Africa (06 August 2025) – Life comes with its fair share of challenges. It is places like Halli Trust that turn that narrative. Offering dignity, guidance, and hope. Known for its hands-on approach, the organisation is committed to improving lives by offering assistance.

The Halli Trust’s impact is felt in many ways. Families receive food support, and children are given a chance to learn life skills that will serve them well into adulthood. One heartwarming example is a video circulating in the community: a group of children learning how to budget their money. For Halli Trust, this is more than a fun exercise; it is about equipping the next generation with the tools they need to thrive.

Education and community involvement are at the core of Halli Trust’s mission. With the help of their friendly mascot, Halli, the team conducts educational talks at schools. Their vision is to plant seeds of knowledge in children’s minds, seeds that educators and parents can continue to nurture. It is people like Princess Bolo and Alicia Williams who are deeply involved, embodying a caring spirit to help drive the organisation forward.

With about 50 children in Smartie Town and Nomzamo, the programme is designed to develop well-rounded Halli Leaders.

Empowering women is also part of the trust’s vision. On Friday mornings during the school term, local women gather for a Machine Sewing Course, guided by a needlework mentor who has developed a practical curriculum. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate and the opportunity to use their new skill to start a small business.

By investing in people through food relief, life skills, education, and economic empowerment, the trust is building a stronger, more self-sufficient community.
