A 25–12 win over Tuks seals the title after a fiercely contested final packed with big tackles, determination and plenty of gees.
Pretoria, South Africa (27 August 2026) – Harlequins Women are celebrating after a memorable afternoon at the Sanlam Carlton Women’s League final, where they beat Tuks 25–12 to lift the 2026 title.
The final lived up to its billing, with both sides bringing plenty of physicality and intensity to the contest. Tuks pushed hard, but Harlequins kept their composure and found a way to stay in control before sealing the win.
It was a performance built on determination and discipline, with the Harlequins players refusing to let up as they chased the trophy.
The occasion was about more than what happened on the field, though. The stands were packed with energy, with supporters bringing plenty of noise and enthusiasm to the final.
That atmosphere added to what was already a special showcase for women’s rugby, with the crowd getting behind both teams throughout the afternoon.
Before kick-off, the two captains stood alongside the referee with the trophy between them. Once the whistle went, the respect between the sides was put aside as both teams battled for the same prize.
In the end, it was Harlequins who had the final say. Tuks can also take plenty from their season after reaching the final and pushing the eventual champions throughout a fiercely contested decider.
For Harlequins, this was their moment and they made sure to enjoy it.
