It is officially autumn and while it may not be cold yet, there is no harm in preparing for it; the Johannesburg SPCA is hoping to collect items to keep its animals snug this winter.
Johannesburg, South Africa (28 March 2022) – The chill is not here yet but the preperations definitely are. For organisations such as the Johannesburg SPCA, kicking off its Autumn Appeal means more chances to get the items needed for the cold, donated in time.
The Johannesburg SPCA launched the Autumn Appeal in March asking for people to help them prepare for the coming winter. They have a variety of needs from as simple as newspaper donations to a little more specific, like perspex boards to write on kennel details.
When charities are in need, people always step forward to offer help. The Autumn Appeal for Johannesburg SPCA is below. These items will help keep the animlas fed and warm.
If you are looking to keep warm this winter, consider adopting a pet. There is no greater love than waking up at 3 am on a winter morning to find the dog is hogging all the blankets, to fix this problem, adopt a second dog who will keep you warm during the eternal blanket fights.
