Kitten Demands Bottle from Rescue Helper by Climbing All Over Her

Rafa, the kitten, wants milk now! Salomie is working as fast as she can to make that happen; Rafa has us all in stitches as he pesters her for his bottle.

Limpopo, South Africa (01 July 2022) – Sonica Fritz from The Charlie Project, a cat rescue organisation based in Limpopo, shared a heartwarming video of her kitten Rafa, who was relentless in asking for his bottle. He is filmed pestering Salomie, Sonica’s right hand in all things kitten!

Salomie was in the process of making a bottle, and while Sonica admits Rafa is getting too old to still be hand-fed, you can see for yourself, that his persistence is on another level. Salomie takes his battering and climbing in her stride, and the video ends with her cuddling him as he finally gets the bottle he was after.

Rafa was found on the roadside in late February 2022, screaming for his mom, umbilical cord still attached. He was a newborn and all alone. Thankfully a couple saw him and called Sonica. She collected him, and between her and Salomie, they fed him, built up his strength and raised him into the cheeky self he is today.

The Charlie Project was started when Sonica found a kitten at work and named him Charlie; he was in a terrible way and sadly didn’t survive. She was devastated but dedicated her time to saving kittens in the Limpopo area.

Not the one’s who is given away due to irresponsible humans not sterilizing their animals, but those cats & kittens who are dumped in boxes, plastic bags and simply left to die.”

They help as many cats and kittens as they can. Working to rescue, foster and adopt out whenever possible. The Charlie Project is home to many kittens currently looking for their own forever homes.

Salomie is a well-seasoned kitten wrangler, and while Rafa has given us all a laugh, it is Salomie who wins us over most. She has dedicated her time and enormous amounts of patience to helping Sonica care for the most desperate little kittens in Limpopo.
