Leon Kluge is bringing his award-winning South African floral display at Lifestyle Home Garden, celebrating South Africa’s biodiversity.
Johannesburg, South Africa (30 September 2026) – Johannesburg is about to get a taste of Chelsea Flower Show magic.
Award-winning floral designer Leon Kluge is bringing his acclaimed Life After Fire display to Gauteng for the first time, giving more South Africans the chance to see the installation that made waves at the Chelsea Flower Show.
The display will be recreated at Lifestyle Home Garden from 24 October to 8 November, with Leon also hosting talks about the journey to Chelsea, the inspiration behind the display and what it took to bring the project to life.
After spending the past two weeks in Stanford for Stanford in Bloom, Leon is now packing up Life After Fire and sending it on a rather different journey.
And this isn’t simply a floral display being transported from one city to another. Leon says the entire installation will be rebuilt, including the charcoal elements that form a key part of its design.
The display celebrates South Africa’s biodiversity and showcases the country’s flowers, while telling a story shaped by fire and regeneration.
Leon says he has repeatedly been asked why the display could not also be seen in the north of the country, and this time, he decided to make it happen.
Now, after its success at Chelsea, Life After Fire is getting another chapter.
