Fundnation has set up a platform dedicated to helping organisations raise funds this upcoming Giving Tuesday; this is everything you need to know to take part.

South Africa (20 November 2023) – With Giving Tuesday just around the corner, this year it’s on the 28th of November 2023, Fundnation is helping local organisations prepare to raise funds for the important day.

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organisations to encourage philanthropy and celebrate generosity worldwide. The festive season is a time for giving, and it is just around the corner. But while we’re all browsing Black Friday catalogues and planning our gifting surprises, why not also spare a thought for those less fortunate?

Fundnation is a tech-first digital donations platform that helps organisations run donation campaigns. Since starting up, the team has processed just over R200 million, helping a range of organisations including schools, charities, and religious projects to name a few. The Angel Network has had great success working with Fundnation, raising R2.8 million in just 48 hours, using the Fundnation Telethon tools and system.

The platform is easily accessible to charitable organisations, as a way to seamlessly set up a donations campaign to raise funds for important causes. Giving Tuesday is a growing trend in South Africa, and organisations looking to diversify their charitable earnings can easily take part.

To set up a Giving Tuesday campaign, you can find everything you need here. Like all funding platforms, Fundnation does have a small percentage fee per donation made, to help cover the banking fee and card transactions, but the rest of the funds are donated directly to the organisation. Funds raised are paid out within 72 hours, making access to funding as quick as possible.

When setting up a campaign, you need to complete a few steps, which should take about 3 minutes. The team is available to assist with any queries you may have – making the process efficient and simple too. You can email them at support@fundnation.org.
