Sometimes confidence, passion,  purpose and a bright future begin with something as simple as stationery – essential tools children need to learn, grow and thrive. This year, the Amy Foundation is determined to put these tools into the hands of over a thousand learners.

Cape Town, South Africa (07 January 2026) – For over two decades, the Amy Foundation’s classrooms, creative spaces and training rooms have been places of hope, growth and possibility.

What begins as academic support becomes confidence. What starts as creative expression turns into purpose. What looks like a programme becomes a pathway to opportunity.

And sometimes, this practically all starts with tools as simple as a pen or a calculator.

As many young people prepare to get back into school mode, the Foundation is excited to introduce its Tools for Tomorrow campaign. This is an initiative to equip learners with the essential stationery they need to learn, grow and thrive.

“Far too many children in our communities arrive at school without the basic tools required for success. Pens, pencils, notebooks and other learning essentials,” Amy Foundation shares.

A lack of appropriate learning materials means learners cannot practice, revise, or complete homework properly, reducing test scores and overall learning outcomes. The bold goal is to raise R100,000, which will help give 1,400 learners within the After-School Programmes the basic stationery needed to start off the 2026 school year.

As we all step into a new year, the organisation is committed to continuing to open doors, nurturing potential and building a future where young people don’t just survive, they thrive.

“Through Tools for Tomorrow, you’ll have the chance to directly impact a child’s education by providing the stationery that helps unlock their potential.”
