Montecasino, South Africa – Grossing over $434 million worldwide and named the fifth highest grossing live action musical of all time, The Greatest Showman is back, this time outdoors, and as a sing-along of epic proportions.
This is the first major event of its kind in Africa on the 5th and 6th April, only at the Piazza in Montecasino.
The Sing-A-long version of The Greatest Showman features on-screen lyrics for every song (as if you haven’t memorised them already) in this Oscar nominated family favourite.
Inspired by the imagination of P. T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman is an original award winning musical that celebrates the birth of show business & tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation.
This is Me; The Greatest Show, Never Enough and all the Oscar ™ nominated songs from this spectacular musical will be heard throughout Joburg North this April. “This is Where you Want to Be,” says Andrew Ross, Managing Director of Moonlit Movies.
“Outdoor Cinema, and Sing-Along screenings have had incredible success internationally and we’re excited to be bringing this particular concept to South Africa. All the song lyrics will be displayed on screen, if you haven’t memorised them already, complete with a state of the art concert sound system,” he says.
“It’s going to be a fantastic night out complete with live entertainment from Rubber Duc prior to the movie’s start and with great giveaways throughout the evening.”
Food trucks serving gourmet fare and a full bar including craft beer, gin, cocktails and champagne will be available for sale. No food or drinks will be allowed onto the premises as the Montecasino outdoor cinema area is a fully catered and licensed environment.
