Pledges Towns

Santa Shoebox coordinators are rallying their towns and communities to help make the final pledge counts reach 100% – These are all the towns that need a few extra pledgers.

South Africa (24 October 2023) – This coming weekend marks the opening of Santa Shoebox drop-offs but many of the towns on the list are experiencing slow or low pledge rates. These are the towns that need a helping hand this year.

Why is it so important? Every pledge means a child gets a unique and heartfelt gift, knowing that someone out there is thinking of them in the lead-up to the festive season. Children who are the recipients of these boxes, often come from circumstances where this gift may be the only gift they get. The boxes are filled with essentials and treats which go a long way in producing smiles for children in need.

You can find out how to make your box yourself here. Even if you cannot make up a box yourself, you can pledge a virtual box that will enable the team to fill a box on your behalf. You can purchase a virtual box here. These virtual boxes are assigned to the children that do not get pledges. That means making a difference for a child, from anywhere in the world.

These are the current pledge percentages, correct at the time of writing this. As you can see, several towns are in need of a pledge boost. Be sure to tag friends who may be able to help and live in these areas.
