Justin Bieber

The Biebs is back in town and we have the low down of what a R15 000 ticket to his concert will actually get you.

With worldwide album sales in excess of 100 million units, Justin Bieber dominates pop culture and social media. With 3.1 million sales worldwide for his latest album `Purpose` Justin Bieber`s current global tour has smashed box office records. Hit singles include `What Do you Mean`, `Sorry`, `Love Yourself` which all peaked at number one on the Billboard Top 200 making Bieber the first male artist in almost a decade to have three number ones from an album.

And now, Justin Bieber brings his Purpose World Tour to South Africa with two stadium shows which cost anywhere between R350 and R15 000 per ticket… we’re not even joking.

Sure the R350 will get you into the stadium… but only into a certain section. The ticket prices go up from there offering everything from reserved seating to back stage passes but you won’t be able to meet the Biebs unfortunately. Not even at the most expensive ticket price of R15 000 do they offer a meet and greet.

So, the question begs… what do you get for a R15 000 ticket? Here’s the low-down taken off the Big Concerts website:

  • Includes one ticket to the exclusive “J Pit” inside the stage
  • Pre-show backstage tour featuring a sneak peak of what happens behind-the-scenes and what it takes to create the “Purpose World Tour”
  • Invitation to the “Purpose VIP Lounge”
  • One premium merchandise package created exclusively for Ultimate VIP’s
  • One exclusive commemorative laminate
  • First entry into the “J Pit and access to a VIP on-site concierge
  • DOES NOT INCLUDE BACKSTAGE PASS/ACCESS

We’re not sure that many people would agree with the price-tag especially since the concert is aimed at kids, but we chatted amongst the GoodThingsGuy office and we all agree that those expensive tickets, will most probably also sell out.

What are your thoughts? Would you pay R15 000 for your child to see the Biebs?
