SA artist, Keith Juluka, is turning up the volume for a vital cause, dropping an awesome new tune that invites us all to trade our formal shoes for flip flops – to ensure that no child or teenager faces the fight against cancer alone.

South Africa (05 February 2026) – It’s almost time for Flip Flop Day, and Keith Juluka has an awesome theme song to get you excited for the cause.

Known and loved for his funny and almost always catchy tunes, Keith has released a new one – and it’s all about getting his listeners to put on their flip-flops for young warriors.

He shared a video on his Instagram this week, singing all about how excited he is for the upcoming Flip Flop Day. As part of the catchy lyrics, he encourages viewers to visit the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa website to do the right thing: purchase a R10 Flip Flop Day sticker in support of children and teens facing cancer.

The national fundraising and awareness campaign returns on Friday, 20 February 2026, inviting the public to buy their stickers and wear their flip flops in solidarity with families affected by childhood cancer.

Flip Flop Day has grown into a powerful demonstration of how collective participation directly translates into practical support, and Keith is championing it loudly and proudly:

“Get your flip flops

Take them out and put them on

Cause together we make it count

Our effort’s strong

School, work, it doesn’t matter where you go

You support a good cause

You should let it show

Ubuntu the vibes

Join CHOC for the ride

Sticker, flip flops, and don’t forget your smile

I’m so excited

Don’t know how to hide it

Flop Flop Day is my favourite all the way.”
