Listen: Khaki Fever Drops A Theme Song That’s As Wild As The Film

Just when you thought Khaki Fever couldn’t get any spicier, along comes Toffie with a theme song that’s cheeky, catchy and proudly South African.

South Africa (03 September 2025) – Almost a month after we first broke the story about Khaki Fever, Good Things Guy has been handed the exclusive scoop: the film’s theme song has officially dropped this week and it’s as outrageous, catchy and proudly South African as the movie itself.

Titled Khaki Fever, the track is performed by Toffie, an Afrikaans rapper straight outta Bellville. His sound feels like a throwback to the 90s… fat basslines, dirty snares and hooks so cheeky they’ll make your ma blush.

New to the SA music scene, Toffie’s rise has been fast and furious. Signing with Rothman Records earlier this year, he’s now made his official debut writing and performing the theme song for Showmax’s brand-new original film, Khaki Fever.

And if his first single is anything to go by, he’s not slowing down anytime soon.

Toffie is unapologetic about what inspires him. “I make the Afrikaans tannies bloos, but they laaik it,” he grins. “Imagine David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson had a baby in the 90’s series Baywatch… and that kid grew up to be a rapper. That’s what I want my music to sound like.”

His lyrics are as wild as the film itself… the kind of k@k you don’t mention at Sunday lunch. It’s naughty, it’s fun, and it’s very, very South African but this isn’t Toffie’s only move. With his debut single already making waves, he’s hard at work on his second track, set to drop later this year. If the first one’s anything to go by, fans can expect more wild energy, more laughs, and more beats that you can’t get out of your head.

Back in August, we introduced you to Khaki Fever, the raunchy, laugh-out-loud new Showmax Original. Set in a bushveld game lodge, it follows a group of rugged rangers competing to hook up with the most tourists, while trying not to get caught by Anel, the no-nonsense lodge manager. It’s outrageous, spicy, and proudly local.

Director Brett Michael Innes calls it “a Friday night film, a funny and sexy safari escape with your friends after a long week.”

He and his husband, co-writer Nick Ahlers, are no strangers to storytelling but admit this project is unlike anything they’ve done before.

“They say you shouldn’t work with animals or your life partner but we did both of these things and are still happily married,” Nick laughed.

The cast is stacked with some of South Africa’s favourites: Christopher Jaftha, Anja Taljaard, Trix Vivier, Liam Bosman, Ilse Klink, Abel Knobel, Francois Jacobs, Sean Brebnor… and yes, a runaway French bulldog named Chardonnay who might just steal the show.
