John Moore Animal Welfare teamed up with Robertson Preparatory School pupils for a heartwarming mission: to make festive crackers stuffed with goodies for dogs in need.

Robertson, South Africa (02 December 2025) – It’s tiiiime! And the doggos of Robertson are about to wag their tails happily from all the festive treats!

The John Moore Animal Welfare joined hands with Robertson Preparatory School yesterday morning to make Christmas crackers filled with dog treats for the pets in the surrounding underprivileged community.

The children, from Grades R to 3, had the best time making over 1,000 crackers!

“Not only did the children have fun making something special, but they also learned about kindness, compassion, and giving back,” shares the Welfare’s Michelle Uren.

“These will be handed out on Wednesday, 10 December, in the afternoon by the teachers of Robertson Preparatory and volunteers and staff from John Moore Animal Welfare.”

Guided by the dedicated Welfare team, these young hands have beautifully demonstrated that the greatest gift we can give is the gift of caring and that every creature deserves a little bit of love.

Michelle expressed her gratitude to the amazing young helpers for spreading joy to pets who need it most.

“You are making a real difference!”
