A group of dedicated women from the Rotary Clubs of Northcliff and Vanderbijlpark, as well as Mini Miracles, have once again demonstrated the power of community and compassion. Known for their record-breaking knitting achievements, these women have donated a significant number of hand-knitted scarves to Kindness Like Confetti’s Joseph Jersey Project.
Johannesburg, South Africa (07 November 2024) – With the holiday frenzy and the magic of Christmas just around the corner, the usual year-end fatigue and complacency are giving way to joy, excitement, and a spirit of generosity.
Already filled with the sense of sharing goodness with others this festive season, a group of incredible women from the Rotary Clubs of Northcliff and Vanderbijlpark, as well as Mini Miracles, have once again proven the power of kindness.
Known for their record-breaking knitting feats, these talented ladies have now turned their attention to bringing warmth to those in need.
Together, through their compassionate efforts, they have broken into the hearts of Kindness Like Confetti (KLC) in Johannesburg with their kindness and generosity.
According to Rove SA, these ladies, together with others from various like-minded charities, created the largest hand-knitted blanket with 8,952.45 square meters and also broke another record for the most blankets distributed to charity at one event with a total of 8,774 units, at previously held Rocking The Vaal events.
Recently, the group of ladies donated bales of scarves to KLC for their Joseph Jersey Project, an initiative dedicated to distributing knitted and crocheted items to the less fortunate, vulnerable groups and babies in need.
These beautiful, handmade scarves will bring comfort and warmth to countless individuals, reminding them that they are cared for and valued.
Expressing their heartfelt appreciation for the donation, KLC said:
“These pieces will go directly to The Joseph Jersey Project, bringing warmth, comfort and care across our community! Thank you for helping us share kindness like confetti!
