What’s better than a night of big hair and iconic hits? The Bless a Baby and Tiny Owls Baby Home are “heading back to the 80s” to help give local newborns the brightest start possible!
Western Cape, South Africa (09 March 2026) – If you loved the 80s or have always been intrigued by the era of big hair and even bigger hits, two Western Cape organisations are gearing up to deliver an epic blast from the past!
The Bless a Baby and Tiny Owls Baby Home are joining forces for a fundraising evening at the Barnyard Theatre for an event that promises to combine the theatre’s signature high-energy entertainment with a powerful purpose: to raise essential funds to support newborns and babies facing crisis circumstances.
The Show: Big Hair, Bigger Hits
‘Absolute 80s’ takes audiences on a vibrant journey through the unforgettable anthems of the decade. Attendees can expect powerful vocals, electric guitars, colourful costumes and the kind of stage presence that transforms the theatre into a full sing-along experience.
From pop legends to rock royalty, the show delivers hit after hit; the kind that instantly transports audiences back to cassette tapes, neon lights and unforgettable dance floors.
It’s energetic, nostalgic and designed to get people on their feet.
Why This Night Matters
While the music brings the vibe, the purpose brings the heart.
Bless a Baby supports newborns and mothers facing crisis circumstances by distributing essential baby bags filled with clothing, blankets and toiletries – practical support that restores dignity in difficult moments.
Tiny Owls Baby Home provides 24-hour residential care to abandoned, abused and neglected babies, offering safety, stability and nurturing while they await placement in loving families.
Both organisations rely heavily on fundraising to sustain their work. Events like this help fund baby essentials, cover nappies, formula and medical needs, and support caregivers and daily operational costs.
With demand for assistance continuing to grow, collaborative initiatives like this amplify both awareness and impact.
Community in Action
At its heart, the event shows how collaboration strengthens impact. By joining forces, Bless a Baby and Tiny Owls Baby Home are raising both funds and awareness for vulnerable babies in the Western Cape.
Tickets are available through the Barnyard Theatre, with limited seating expected.
