Miss Wheelchair World

Miss Wheelchair World has concluded its first ever pageant and South Africa’s Lebohang Monyatsi is bringing home the title of first runner-up.

We first shared Lebohang’s story in September of this year and annouced she would be representing South Africa at the first ever Miss Wheelchair World. We encouraged our readers to vote for her and are happy to announce that Lebohang came in second with the title of first runner-up.

The pageant took place in Warsaw, Poland and wanted to spread the message that beauty has no limitations. We whole heartidly agree!

Lebohang’s most noteworthy accomplishment was to challenge the status quo by becoming Africa’s first ever runway model in a wheelchair. This achievement was a big part of her drive to work towards disability inclusion. Her hope is for every aspect of life to be accessible to people with disabilities. She can now add this new and exciting title to her incredible list of acheivments.

“We are all Winners gathered together to change the World.” – Lebohang Monyatsi

Take a look at a few of Lebo’s snaps from the trip. We are exceptionally proud of her and so happy to share her happy news with you all.
