The Bloemhof Voetspore Projek, in partnership with Samaritan’s Feet South Africa, calls on matriculants to donate their used school shoes to underprivileged children. As they prepare to embark on new chapters in their lives, these young people have the opportunity to make a lasting impact by sharing their footwear with those in need.

Stellenbosch, South Africa (26 November 2024) – The stark reality of underprivileged pupils needing school shoes is a challenge many of us can understand.

We don’t have to walk barefoot on a long, dusty, and painfully rocky road to school to empathise with the hardships faced by countless children seeking an education that could hopefully one day secure them a better life.

In an effort to help alleviate the hardship of these youngsters, the Bloemhof Voetspore Projek in partnership with Samaritan’s Feet South Africa, call on matriculants who are nearing the close of their school chapter, to consider a little pupil in need as they kick off their school shoes for the last time this week.

Matriculants can donate their usable school (or other) shoes directly after their last paper at Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof in Stellenbosch where members of Phoenix will be there to receive and pack them for Samaritan’s Feet SA.

Learners who are still writing papers and also want to donate their shoes can go to the Mediateek after their last paper to drop them off.

This simple act of kindness can make a significant difference in the lives of children who would otherwise continue to attend school barefoot or in worn-out shoes.
