The Angel Network is once again setting out to make thousands of smiles happen over Easter!

South Africa (02 February 2026) – With just two months until the Easter bunny hops again, the organisation that makes magic happen for those in need plans to make the holiday special for 10,000 children who rarely get spoiled.

The Angel Network is a local community-driven non-profit that steps in wherever help is needed most. They’ve operated for a decade now, providing everything from food relief and disaster response to education support, shelter assistance and community upliftment. Working hand in hand with volunteers and donors, they essentially work as a bridge between people who want to help and communities that need it.

Last year, the network’s annual drive collected a whopping 12,000 eggs which made Easter memorable and special for orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children across the country. The year before, a record number of 17,000 smiles benefited from the charitable tradition.

This year, The Angel Network is determined to collect at least 10,000 eggs!

“…We believe every child deserves a moment of magic, a moment that says you are seen, you matter, and joy belongs to you too. This Easter, our goal is to raise funds to gift 10,000 Easter eggs to children who rarely get treats,” the organisation shares.

In years past, the network has seen just how much joy one small gesture can bring, especially for children living in underprivileged communities.

“An Easter egg might seem simple but in a child’s hands it becomes hope, excitement, and pure delight. It becomes the feeling of being included. Together, we can make sure no child is left out of the celebration.”
