12,000 Easter Eggs have been collected for vulnerable children thanks to community Easter Bunnies in no shortage of kindness. This means that thousands of children will get to enjoy a treat they otherwise wouldn’t have had this Easter!
Johannesburg, South Africa (26 March 2025) — As many people start treating themselves to the chocolate bunnies and marshmallow eggs that decorate grocery store shelves in anticipation of Easter, so too comes the reminder that what is a treat for one is a treasure to someone else.
In an effort to ensure that children in need get a slice of the treasure on Easter, every year, The Angel Network rallies its supporters and unofficial Easter Bunnies to collect as many Easter Eggs as possible for as many vulnerable children as possible.
It’s a yearly tradition, an annual accomplishment and, in the case of many children in Johannesburg, the only treat they would’ve had in a very long time.
Once again, the Angels have secured thousands of Easter Eggs for this joy-spreading reason—a whopping 12,000 Easter Eggs at that!
The Angel Network’s Glynn Goldberg Wolman expressed the organisation’s immense gratitude to everyone who contributed, with special thanks directed to Greenside Primary School (who collected nearly 3,000 Easter Eggs) and the Johannesburg Mini Council, who contributed 5,000.
“Thanks to everyone, thousands of orphaned and vulnerable children will feel seen and special this Easter,” said Glynn.
