New York, United States – Trevor Noah, a proudly South African comedian living and working in New York (on the Daily Show no less) has been nominated for the Grammy Award in the Best Comedy Album category. This nomination is for the album of his stand-up show “Son of Patricia”.

He has been nominated alongside some of the industries greatest comedians including Aziz Ansari, Jim Gaffigan, Ellen DeGeneres and Dave Chappelle.

The Grammy’s will be held at the beginning of 2020, the first of the big award ceremonies. It will be one for the books! Trevor is no stranger to award ceremonies, but this one is a big deal for the South African!

Trevor took to Twitter to announce his excitement about the nomination.

We can’t wait to see if Trevor brings home a Grammy if he does we hope he pulls a Charlize and does his acceptance speech in an official South African language.
