I never knew I needed Miley Cyrus to cover Zombie by The Cranberries until she did, and now I can’t live without it.
Global (20 October 2020) – Miley Cyrus performed an exclusive live set for “Save Our Stages Festival” from Whiskey a Go Go in Los Angeles and stunned fans with her rendition of ‘Zombie’ by the Cranberries.
On Saturday, the 27-year-old musician performed at the virtual and audience-free music festival meant to raise funds for music venues deemed vulnerable because of revenue lost because of the coronavirus pandemic closures and restrictions.
As part of her set, Cyrus performed an incredible cover of The Cranberries’ “Zombie.”
“Zombie” is the Irish rock band’s biggest hit and was written in memory of two young victims of the 1993 bombing in Warrington, England, and has remained a hit ever since. According to Music Week, the music video has earned more than 1 billion views on YouTube while the song has been purchased 778,942 times and streamed 427 million times on Spotify.
Fans of both The Cranberries and Miley Cyrus have praised her performance.
