Two organisations making a big difference in their communities have teamed up to make double the impact. By purchasing a doggie mattress for R100 or less, you can help!

Pretoria, South Africa (05 June 2026) – Moeggesukkel and the Tshwane SPCA have teamed up on an initiative that supports people and animals at the same time, and it starts with a doggie mattress.

Moeggesukkel, a non-governmental organisation that houses, feeds, reconciles and creates job opportunities for people in need, is now crafting upcycled floor mattresses for dogs! These handmade goods will then be sold through the Tshwane SPCA’s Centurion Branch.

A portion of every sale goes directly to the SPCA to help care for the animals in their shelters. At the same time, the project will create much-needed work opportunities through Moeggesukkel.

The upcycled mattresses are available directly from the Tshwane SPCA Centurion Branch at affordable prices of R80 for small, R90 for medium and R100 for large, with custom sizes available on request. Orders must be placed directly through the Centurion Branch.

With one purchase of a doggie mattress, two organisations doing incredible work are both supported.

The Tshwane SPCA serves animals in need across communities surrounding Centurion and Waltloo. They show up each day for animals who have no one else. Keeping that work going takes consistent support from the communities it serves.

Moeggesukkel has been restoring hope and dignity to thousands of people facing some of life’s hardest challenges by providing housing, food and employment to those who need it most.

Check out pedro, a day care patient at the SPCA, who was happy to help with quality testing and a few product shots!

“Pedro our model did not do too bad for his first time modeling…” shared the SPCA.
