Street Artist

Mariusz Kedzierski was born without arms but he never let that get in the way of his dreams. He worked hard and became a talented street artist.

Mariusz Kedzierski shared his story in the hopes that it would inspire people and show them that anybody is capable of anything they set their minds to.

He travelled from a small town in Poland to the big city, New York. He went to organise an exhibition of his works and show people that anything is possible if you believe in yourself.

My name is Mariusz Kedzierski and I come from a little town in Southern Poland. I am an artist with huge plans, who nobody believed in, because… I was born without arms. After many years of hard work and overcoming many barriers, a few days ago I arrived in NYC to organize an exhibition. I am really afraid of it, but I think that only dreams which you are afraid of, worth fulfilling it. That’s why I want to try.

Mariusz’s medium of choice is the pencil and his drawings are filled with so much detail that the images practically come to life on the page.

He is a bit of a celebrity in his home country and has been interviewed about his skill with portraiture. He even travels around to inspire other people born differently-abled. During a recent trip to Turkey, he said,

“Remember that you are not disabled because of lack of arms or legs. You are really disabled when you do nothing in your life and don’t appreciate little things around. Be happy and share yourself with the World”
