LIV Cape Town supports more than 100 vulnerable children in the high-poverty community.
It focuses on providing quality early childhood education, nutritious meals that keep hungry bellies fed, and trauma-informed care. Its ECD centre gives little ones a safe and nurturing space where they can learn, heal and become superheroes before they start primary school.
“Every day, innocent children endure abuse, neglect, poverty, and unstable home environments – experiences that leave lasting marks. These early wounds often show up as behavioural struggles or academic challenges. Without support, the weight of trauma can grow heavier over time, affecting mental health and limiting a child’s ability to thrive in school and in life.” the organisation shares, on its website.
“We ensure each child feels seen, heard, loved, and supported. Our therapists and teachers collaborate with families, sharing the responsibility for each child’s well-being.”
