Ntokozo Mchunu took a chance and entered the Coca‑Cola Fan Can Be A Bok competition; winning meant watching the team get ready in the lead-up to the big day and then the main event at Ellis Park.

Johannesburg, South Africa (15 July 2026) – Everyone should watch the Springboks at least once in their lifetime; it is an experience like no other! That was the opportunity given to Ntokozo Mchunu, the winner of the Coca‑Cola Fan Can Be A Bok competition at Ellis Park.

Speaking to Ntokozo at the stadium, he expressed great joy at being there on the day and being given the opportunity to experience the most incredible 24 hours as a Springbok fan.

The adventure started the day before the Boks kicked off at Ellis Park. Ntokozo and his friend Patricia Lenyepa started the day with a tour of the changerooms, where the Boks would get ready for their game against England. The best part was that the lucky duo got to then meet some of South Africa’s most iconic Springboks as well as the ladies from the Women’s Boks team.

The fun didn’t end there; the day meant front row seats to the Springboks doing their final training session. Ntokozo got to see his favourite player, Siya Kolisi, in action, even if he wasn’t able to play on the day. That really is once-in-a-lifetime stuff!

Once training was done, Ntokozo and Patricia were taken to the same hotel as the Boks, so they could get a restful night’s sleep before the big game the next day. After breakfast, they got ready to join over 53,000 fans at Ellis Park.

Coca-Cola made sure it was a day to remember, not only for Ntokozo and Patricia, but for me as well. The team invited Good Things Guy to be at the game, and a game it was! The atmosphere in the fan park was electric. Coca-Cola had an exciting stand where everyone could get involved in making signs to cheer the Boks on. I managed to make one that read “Good Things Bokke”, and although I am no artist, it got the gees going!

While at the Coca-Cola stand, I got to meet Ntokozo and Patricia in person. Ntokozo kept praising the team involved for getting him to the stadium; his energy was so infectious, and his excitement for the day was equally so. Yet, it was his thanks for the opportunity that really moved me. This was the first time Ntokozo had attended a Springboks game. That in itself is a memorable moment, but not only did he get to see the game live, but he also had all the other once-in-a-lifetime add-ons that made it something he never wants to forget.

For Ntokozo, he only started supporting rugby eight years ago, and it has fast become a sport he truly loves. While soccer may always have his heart, he has been eager to learn more about rugby, saying:

“I have been supporting the Springboks for almost eight years now, and I believe in them. That is why I entered the competition, to see more and know more about them”

Mario I. Garcia, Vice President and Managing Director, Coca-Cola South Africa, shares some insight into what the campaign is all about.

Ntokozo’s story is exactly what ‘The Coca-Cola Fan Can Be a Bok’ campaign is all about.  Giving everyday South African fans the chance to experience the pride, emotion and energy of Springbok rugby from the inside.

Seeing his excitement, especially attending his very first Springboks match, was incredibly powerful and a reminder of how sport can create unforgettable human moments. We’re proud to be leveraging our partnership with SARU to create experiences that bring fans closer to the team they passionately support and celebrating the spirit of rugby that unites South Africans across the country.” — Mario I. Garcia, Vice President and Managing Director, Coca-Cola South Africa

Ntokozo has some words of advice for those who are not sure about entering the competition. It is as simple as scanning a QR code and winning a spot prize, or an exciting fan experience like his.

“They must believe in Coca-Cola. It is for everyone and they are the best!”

They make dreams come true! Take a look at some of the highlights from his experience below.

The chance to win isn’t over; the competition runs from 6 July to 30 November 2026. You can find out more here.
