Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, and how you leave others feeling after having an experience with you becomes your trademark!

Johannesburg, South Africa (28 February 2022) – Sometimes, we all need a reminder that being kind is not only necessary but needed, although it is really our choice. Or that how people see us… is how they look at us through their lens and actually has nothing to do with us. Life lessons to keep us on track.

A list recently started being shared on social media, highlighting some of these “things to remember,” but we thought we would add our insight to make the list a little more rounded.

So here goes.

Ten things to always remember:

  1. These hard times, this pain, these lessons – one day, they’ll be your strength, your awareness and your blessings.
  2. Stop expecting honesty from people who lie to themselves. There are so many more “Tinder Swindlers” and “Inventing Annas” in this world, and chances are you are most probably friends with one of these types. Do not give them any money… even if their enemies are after them.
  3. You’ll never look good trying to make someone look bad. Full stop.
  4. Save your explanations for those that are determined to understand you. Give your silence to those that are determined to misunderstand you.
  5. Your life is too short to be unhappy five days a week in exchange for two days of freedom.
  6. The lens that others view you through is coloured by their upbringing, beliefs and individual experiences. You will be a hero for some; for others, you will be a villain. Some will love you, and some will hate you. And none of it has anything to do with you.
  7. Life is not tiring. Wanting life to be a certain way but not having the confidence to make it that way is tiring. So get off your bum and create the life you want. The one that truly makes you happy.
  8. Just because someone’s opinion differs from yours doesn’t automatically make them wrong. Two people can look at exactly the same thing and see something totally different. And that is okay.
  9. We carry with us, as human beings, not just the capacity to be kind but the very choice of kindness. You see, the way we react to a situation is a true test of character. Never forget that.
  10. Your deeds are like your monuments. Built with memories instead of stone. Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, and how you leave others feeling after having an experience with you becomes your trademark!

That’s it. Just some thought starters for today.

Okay. Love you. Bye.
