A family have gone viral after sharing the beautiful video of them telling their little girl that they will be adopting her. We full on ugly cried!
Lips quivering, breath being taken away and ugly crocodile tears were not what we expected when we watched the video that Paige Zezulka shared on her Facebook page last week.
An adoption is a beautiful act, the act of choosing to be the difference in a child’s life, committing to being there for them day-in and day-out when they have faced so much uncertainty. Feeling unloved and unwanted, forgotten and pushed aside, adoption is sometimes a child’s biggest dream. Especially if they have been in the system for a long time.
Such was the case with Paiges three kids. The siblings were in foster care with the family for 3 years while they waited for the process of adoption to take place. The family shared many pictures together but always covered the children’s faces for safety reasons.
The family decided to break the news on their oldest daughter’s birthday, giving her the box that contained the happy news. As she read out the words, she broke down into tears and so did the rest of the world. In just 5 days, the video has been viewed over 6.4 million times.
The video captures a moment filled with so much love and happiness, a genuine moment rarely seen in a busy world. We often forget that children in foster care or living in homes need more than just clothes, food, education and shelter, they also need real love and support.
They officially shared their first family photo together with all the children’s faces finally showing.

Paige also shared the video and said the following,
“This will be my favorite video I ever share. This was the day we told our daughter that we were going to be able to adopt her (and her brother and sister)!
She had been praying to be adopted and we found out on her birthday that it was going to happen! So the next day we gave her this surprise box! God’s timing was perfect!
Adoption is amazing and we want others to know that adopting older children and sibling groups can be the most beautiful adventure you could ever have!”
