In a heartwarming display of kindness, a customer named Keegan Gordon helped out a barista going through a tough time. After learning that the barista’s car had been stolen, Keegan surprised him with a generous tip that left the man overwhelmed with gratitude.
Johannesburg, South Africa (09 January 2025) – A barista who was going through a difficult time could never have imagined that one fateful day, while going about his work shift, he would receive a very generous tip from a customer who cared enough to ask how he was doing.
A video shared by Keegan Gordon shows him ordering an R44 cup of coffee from an unnamed barista, which he gladly prepares for him.
When it was time to pay, Keegan decided to give the barista a R156 tip! But their friendly encounter did not stop there.
While the barista was finishing up preparing the coffee, Keegan went on to ask how his week was going, to which the man answered with the sad news that his car had recently been stolen and that he was working hard to get back on his feet.
As soon as Keegan got a taste of the coffee, he decided it was actually worth R2,000 and, just like that, turned the man’s ordinary day at work into an unbelievably special one. He gladly accepted the cash, saying:
“I highly appreciate it brother man. Thank you man you just made my day,” adding that it would really help toward solving his car troubles.
A beautifully captured moment between two South Africans – one going through a tough time and another kindly helping him get through it. The video has since gone viral on various social media platforms, garnering many comments from people applauding Keegan’s act of kindness and truly warming our hearts!
