BigManKG gave a Cape Town vendor R10,000. His immediate reaction was to pay it forward with ice cream for everyone!
Cape Town, South Africa (17 February 2026) – Kindness grew legs and gave everyone an ice-cream that day.
Giving is something BigManKG (Keegan) does often. Recently, he and his community helped a homeless security guard, Devon, turn his life around with a donation of more than R45,000.
This week, an unassuming ice-cream vendor became the next recipient of one such act of kindness. Keegan eagerly approached him as he manned his cart, which aptly advertised the words ‘taste joy’…
Where there’s ice cream, there’s joy. We’ll give that one to you, Ola.
A caramel flavoured ice-cream was acquired, and just as the vendor began making accommodations for small change, Keegan decided to make a big one.
‘Is this enough change for you?’ he asked, handing him R10,000.
The vendor was blown away and in disbelief at first, but it’s what he chose to do next that was everything. Instead of keeping the shop open for the rest of the day, he decided to give all his stock away instead.
“Now we gonna give all the ice creams away for free!”
His immediate instinct was to pay it forward the moment he could afford to. That’s Ubuntu at its sweetest.
BigManKG shared the video on social media. Commenters across South Africa celebrated the vendor for his choice to spread the love.
“Instead of being greedy and still selling, he gave it away for free. This is the type of people we need,” wrote one commenter.
