beautiful gift

Liz Shoesmith surprised her husband by declaring her love for him with the most beautiful gift. The couple has since gone viral and made millions believe in true love.

Liz and Scott Shoesmith were married on the 27th of January 2018 and their wedding video has since gone viral for all the right reasons. Liz made the internet weep with her beautiful gift for her husband.

Scott is deaf and without his knowledge, Liz had spent months learning to sign. On their wedding day, as she started walking down the aisle, she stopped and showed him just how much she truly loved him.

To the words of ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perry, she signed every word to show Scott that she had learned to sign and that she has loved him for a long time.

At the moment he realised what he was seeing, we melted into a puddle of tears. Scott basically did the same. Standing at the top of the aisle, he watched his wife-to-be, sign her love for him.

The lyrics to the song are so beautiful.

I have died every day, waiting for you
Darling, don’t be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years
I’ll love you for a thousand more

Time stands still
Beauty in all she is
I will be brave
I will not let anything, take away
What’s standing in front of me
Every breath, every hour has come to this

Liz is the CEO of the Inclusive Foundation in Sydney Australia, which aims to ensure that every single person is included in society.
