busker

Mdu is a busker on South Beach Durban who may have just got his big break after being filmed performing at a local food shack.

South Beach, Durban – Brad Hunter saw Mdu while at the Surf Riders Food Shack. Mdu is a busker, also known as a street performer, along the South Beach beachfront. He carries his guitar with him and sings his own songs. Brad Hunter was having dinner when he first heard Mdu sing.

He was inspired by Mdu’s talent and knew he had to be heard by the world. A talent like that should not go unnoticed so he started filming his performance.

“Mdu surprised us yesterday afternoon whilst sittting down to have dinner along the beachfront. We sat down at Surf Riders and he started singing, I couldn’t help myself but ask him his name and get some footage of him.

I said to him that I would post this video of the song his original song he wrote about two people and the struggles they have through love but manage to work things out.”

Brad hopes that this video will lead to his big break and would like to head back to meet up Mdu again. He wants to film him with better quality equipment to truly show his talent. Brad thinks he deserves to be heard.

“I then said to him I would take down his number, return to the beach and film him with better microphones and cameras, create a video and help him get his name out there. I don’t know much about Mdu yet, but for some reason I feel like I need to see him again, hear his story and capture his soul for all of you to see.”

Have you ever seen Mdu perform on the beachfront? Brad hopes the video will go viral and the right people see Mdu’s incredible talent. Hopefully his story will go from busker to famous South African artist after this.
