‘Kindness like Confetti’ run various projects, and this month they are collecting items to make up brave bags for cancer patients at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.
Linden, Johannesburg – You know how confetti gets everywhere, stuck to everything and you seem to find it months after it was used? Well, that’s the perfect analogy for kindness. Kindness should be everywhere, stuck on every person and found long after it was dispensed. While actual confetti isn’t great for the environment, kindness is great for everyone and everything.
A group called ‘Kindness like Confetti’ (KLC), based in Linden Gauteng, spreads kindness far and wide! They recently launched their September project, which is to collect items for cancer brave bags.
“During the Month of September Kindness like Confetti KLC, working in collaboration with Mini Miracles aims to assemble as many Cancer #BraveBags as possible to give Love, Comfort, and Hope to those going through cancer treatment.”
“The Brave Bag Foundation distributes bags every Monday to the new patients in the Oncology Ward at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.”
The Brave Bags are made up of the following:
- 250ml Bottle of Water
- A packet of Lemon or Ginger Tea
- Pair of Socks
- Zambuck
- Vaseline
- Packet of Tissues
- Hand Sanitiser
- Energy Bar or Glucose Sweets
- Packet of Ginger Biscuits
- Beanie
- Small Tin of Ensure
- Lightweight Blanket
The distribution for their collection will take place on the 20th of October. If you wish to get involved, you can contact the organisers below.
