The Cape Town Children’s Choir can’t wait to showcase their talent on the global stage thanks to their opportunity to participate in the 2025 Choir Games!
Cape Town, South Africa (18 December 2024) — The Cape Town’s Children’s Choir are feverishly dreaming of bringing their voices to the world thanks to their opportunity to participate in the 2025 INTERKULTUR African Asia Pacific Choir Games!
The opportunity to represent South Africa and the Mother City promises to be one of immense character-building for the young performers, many of whom have never left the Western Cape before.
The 2025 Choir Games (set to take place from 27 September to 5 October 2025) offers a chance for the Cape Town Children’s Choir to showcase their proudly local talent in Mauritius alongside choral groups from over 100 countries.
The musical growth, global recognition, and cultural encounters are part and parcel of a unique competitive experience! Here, choirs that have not had much air time competing internationally and those who have will both get to relish in the joy of sharing their talents, all while learning from one another.
“Showcasing our country and our people at the Choir Games means we will have to work harder than ever before,” shared the Cape Town Children’s Choir. “The standard of performances will be very high, but we hope that our music will touch lives and inspire everyone in the audience.”
Competitive categories range from open competitions to the championships and the Grand Prix of Nations.
For the Cape Town Children’s Choir, it’s an opportunity that they hope to grab with both hands. But a helping hand never hurt!
The young singers are calling on fellow Capetonians, musicians, culture vultures and South Africans to help them get to Mauritius by making a donation toward their collective dream.
